Hydraulic cement is a product we use, applied to basement walls, that helps stop water leaks. It’s just one part of an overall exterior waterproofing solution for the home.

It’s a product that hardens fast when mixed with water. That’s why you also see it used in swimming pools, retaining walls, chimneys, drainage systems, and elevator pits.

Our technicians will fully clean the foundation walls, removing any dirt, oil, grease, or any loose particles, anything that affects the bonding strength, before applying the cement.

Hydraulic cement isn’t the “be-all” solution for a leaky basement, however. It’s an important step, along with things like a drainage membrane, yellow jacket and Aqua-Bloc.
