TAPCONS TO SCREW MEMBRANE

After the concrete wall is prepped, Canada Waterproofers technicians hang the 4 mm poly membrane, an important tool that helps keep the basement of the home dry.

Superplugs are used to keep the membrane in place, tight against the wall. Plugs are typically installed in a series of rows, starting 8-10 inches from the top. Tapcons are the anchors used to keep the superplugs in place.

We only use Tapcon screw anchors because they offer the best holding power in the industry. Superior strength, and they last a long time. They are corrosion-resistant. Size is 1-1/4” in length.

After all the plugs are in, using Tapcons, we move on to moulding or capping of the poly membrane.
