Spruce Ave Burlington, Foundation Waterproofing

Property Address:

Spruce Ave, Burlington, ON, Canada

Description of Work:

Exterior waterproofing was completed to repair an active foundation crack that had been allowing moisture to enter the basement. The area was excavated to expose the damaged section of the foundation wall, and the crack was thoroughly cleaned, assessed, and repaired using high‑quality materials to ensure long‑term structural integrity.

Our technician Andrii, known for his precision and craftsmanship, carried out the repair and waterproofing to an exceptional standard. After the crack was sealed, the foundation was fully protected using Canada Waterproofers’ signature 6‑Stage Waterproofing System, which includes:

  1. Excavation down to the footing to fully expose the foundation wall.
  2. Cleaning and preparation of the wall surface, including grinding and repairing cracks with hydraulic cement.
  3. Application of Aqua‑Bloc 720‑38, a premium rubberized waterproofing membrane.
  4. Installation of fiber mesh reinforcement followed by an additional coat of Aqua‑Bloc for added durability.
  5. Installation of Delta‑MS drainage membrane, secured with Delta clips and finish moulding to create a long‑lasting drainage plane.
  6. Backfilling with clean gravel to promote proper drainage and prevent soil pressure against the wall.

The excavation was then restored and finished with clean gravel, providing both improved drainage and a clean, professional appearance.

Result:

The foundation crack has been fully repaired and waterproofed using our complete 6‑Stage System, ensuring maximum protection against future water intrusion. The area is neatly finished with gravel, and this repair is now covered by our lifetime warranty, giving the homeowner long‑term peace of mind.
