Limited Service Warranty

Canada Waterproofers undertakes to repair defects in workmanship or materials for the warranty period specified on this estimate/invoice, provided the account has been paid in full and all conditions above are met.

Warranty Coverage

Liability under this warranty is limited to repair, replacement, or prorated refund, at the company's discretion.

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Property damage caused by clogged drains

  • Plumbing failures occurring during the warranty period

  • Failures caused by third-party alterations to Canada Waterproofers' work

Terms and Conditions

Limitation of Liability

Canada Waterproofers Inc. is not responsible for the following:

1. Access-Related Damage

Any damage to the customer's property resulting from the need to access and expose plumbing, drains, or foundation walls (unless specifically stated in this contract). Canada Waterproofers will make every reasonable effort to minimize any such damage.

2. Additional Work

Any work beyond that specifically outlined in this estimate and proposal, including but not limited to work required due to existing plumbing or building code violations, or additional work that becomes necessary as a result of performing the specified services.

3. Non-Covered Repairs & Installations

Repairs, installation, removal, or replacement of: concrete paving, asphalt, brick or stonework, extensions, steel or other frameworks, air conditioning units, plants, trees, shrubs, grass, or landscaping (unless specifically included in the contract).

4. Pre-Existing Defects

Damage to the customer's plumbing system caused by sewer or drain cleaning equipment when such damage results from pre-existing defects in the plumbing system.

5. Sump Pump Warranty

Canada Waterproofers does not provide a warranty on mechanical sump pumps or their components. These products are covered exclusively by the manufacturer's warranty (up to 3 years). Failures resulting from improper maintenance are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

6. Discharge Pipe Warranty

Canada Waterproofers does not warranty sump pump discharge pipes if they are not properly maintained as directed. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Extensions made by the customer after work completion

  • Blockages caused by snow, ice, or debris at the discharge end

  • Alterations by third parties that cause failure or freezing

  • Failure of heated tracer wires

Payment Terms

  • Payment is due in full upon completion of work

  • Failure to make payment according to these terms may result in interest charges at the maximum rate permitted by law

  • The customer assumes full responsibility for prompt payment of all costs under this agreement, regardless of any intention to seek reimbursement from landlords, tenants, insurance companies, or other third parties

  • This proposal and the associated specifications may not be altered or modified except by a written agreement signed by both parties

  • Any verbal agreements or understandings with representatives are not binding unless expressly included in writing within this contract

Warranty Notice

Lifetime warranty on labour and materials, subject to terms and conditions above.

Mechanical sump pumps carry a manufacturer's warranty of up to 3 years.
