Velebit Park Blvd, Burlington, ON, Canada, Exterior Waterproofing Installation
Property Address:
Velebit Park Blvd, Burlington, ON, Canada
Description of Work:
Exterior waterproofing was completed along the affected foundation wall to resolve water intrusion concerns and provide long‑term protection. This project required careful planning and execution due to several on‑site challenges.
The excavation area was located directly beside the homeowner’s air conditioning unit. At the customer’s request, the AC unit was not to be removed, which required our team to work within a very tight space while ensuring the unit remained fully supported and undisturbed. Additionally, a gas line was present inside the working hole, adding another layer of complexity and reinforcing the importance of safe excavation practices.
As always, we followed our number‑one rule: never dig without locates. All utility locates were completed prior to excavation—Hydro, Gas, Bell, Rogers, and all other required services—ensuring safe digging conditions and full compliance with municipal bylaws.
Once the area was safely excavated, the foundation wall was fully exposed, cleaned, and inspected. A crack was identified and repaired using professional‑grade materials designed for long‑term structural stability. After repairs were completed, the wall was waterproofed using Canada Waterproofers’ complete 6‑Stage Waterproofing System, which includes the following detailed steps:
Canada Waterproofers – 10‑Step Waterproofing & Window Well Process
Approximate Depth: 6 ft Number of Window Wells: 1 (if applicable)
- Protect all work areas with tarps.
- Excavate the designated area down to the footing, exposing the wall and footing for waterproofing.
- Clean the foundation wall, grind cracks into a “V,” repair with hydraulic cement, and apply parging mix.
- Apply Aqua‑Bloc 720‑38 foundation waterproofing.
- Install fiber mesh reinforcement, apply a second coat of Aqua‑Bloc, and add 4mm poly for additional protection.
- Install Delta‑MS drainage membrane using Delta clips and finish moulding secured with Tapcon screws.
- Remove old weeping tile and install new Big‑O weeping tile with filter sock, connecting it to the existing drainage system.
- Encase the new weeper in ¾” clear gravel and install filter fabric to prevent soil contamination.
- Backfill in 2‑ft lifts, compacting each layer to ensure proper settlement.
- Install gravel finish, clean the work area, and remove all excess debris from the site.
Window Well Installation (If Required): If the window is below grade, a new window well is installed with a drainage tube tied directly into the weeping tile system.

The homeowner now benefits from a fully protected foundation with significantly reduced risk of future leaks or water intrusion.
